Birthday Celebration at Mesa

Mesa is one of the popular Filipino restaurants and their food menu is good for sharing so pwedeng-pwede sa mga big groups. They have several branches in the Philippines and so far we have tried SM Southmall, SM North EDSA, SM Grand, and last week, SM Sta Rosa.

It was my brother-in-law’s birthday celebration so nagdinner kami. Knowing me na maaga nagdidinner, I was a little bit worried na baka malipasan ako ng gutom because I cannot forget our SM Grand experience na 1 hour ang waiting time. Fortunately, they served our food in less than 30 minutes so okay ang service dito.

For a group of 11 persons, ito yung kinain namin.

Laing in 2 Ways
Kare-Kare
Crispy Pork Belly
Baby Squid in Olive Oil (2 orders)
Steamed Rice
Dingdong’s Ultimate’s Weekday Boodle (2 orders)

Tinapa Roll, Crispy Pork Sisig, Pork BBQ, Mesa Braised Beef, Inihaw na Manok in Honey Patis, Suahe Stir Fried Salted & Spicy, Bam-I, Garlic Rice,

Among the meals, I ate the laing, baby squid, and crispy pork belly. We couldn’t finish the Boodle meal, ang dami ng serving so sulit sa PHP995. Some also order Fresh Fruit Coolers, but I don’t have a picture of those drinks.

I also made this birthday cake topper. The font is Birthday Verygood

Nativity Pop-Up Card

This was on my to-do list last year pero last month ko lang nagawa. Thanks to Cricut Philippines #MakeitMonday challenge at naalala kong gawin. hehehe!

This is my entry for Cricut-Made Belen. I made this Nativity Pop-Up Card using the design of Nancy of Better Life Blog. This is part of the Cricut Craft Fest 2023.

I used blue and beige cardstock, Cricut premium shimmer vinyl, Cricut pen, and Ohuhu markers. I was thankful that there was a step-by-step guide because it helped me big time in assembling this project. The tutorial video is only available for 24 hours unless you pay for VIP access. Alam niyo naman, hanggang free event lang ako. Hehehe!

I liked this card and this is something I will recreate in the future. Check my short reel here

Christmas Craft Countdown 2024

I joined Craft with Sarah’s Christmas Craft Countdown last month. There are twenty projects but I only finished 11 because I got sick. I can still do the remaining projects naman, hindi na nga lang aabot sa deadline ng entries.

My favorite projects are Stained Glass Nativity Windows, Cardinal Gnomes, Christmas Critters, and Nutcracker. I also like the last two projects I was not able to do but it is on my list.

Watercolor Card

I don't have Cricut Watercolor Pens so I used the regular Cricut Pens here.

Christmas at the Beach

This Christmas at the Beach is more realistic because we don't have snow in the Philippines.

Handmade Holiday Craft Meet with KM and Judy

I was not feeling well for the last several days and these handmade gift tags were my final project. After I made this, I got sick so I stopped crafting. I am wondering why I got sick when I was just at home, wala naman nanghawa sa akin. I still have a cough and colds and hopefully mawala na rin in the next few days.

Anyway, last month I attended the Handmade Holiday Craft Meet with KM and Judy PHP799. I won an Exclusive Event Pass last year but I haven’t used it yet kasi ang layo ng Bee Happy Craft Store sa amin so kapag may event, malabo makapunta. So when I saw there was an Online Option, I took advantage of it. I only paid for the shipping fee so they could deliver my crafting kit.

Here are the crafting supplies and tools that I received.

Cardstock for handmade bag, card and gift tags
Lindy’s Magical Powder (Mad Hatter) sampler
Aleene’s Glue
Brush
Mintay Chips
Foam Tape
Die-cut sentiments

I just watched the demo and waited for the replay video. Hindi ko kayang magcraft along when I learned na nakakstain yung Lindy’s Magical Powder. It was my first time using it and sobrang messy pala niya gamitin, ang dami ko wipes na naubos, kakapunas ng work area ko. Kasi kahit may glass mat na ko, may lumalagpas pa rin kapag nagspray ako. Good thing that my craft area is beside our kitchen so madaling maghugas. It was messy but fun.

These are my finished handmade gift tags using the techniques I learned and the craft supplies inside my kit. And because of this, natetempt na akong icheck-out yung Lindy’s Magical Powder sa shopping cart ko.

December Craft Projects

November is about to end so iblog ko na ito December Craft Projects ko bago pa mag-anniversary. I made a lot of Christmas craft projects last year but forgot to share these projects at naging busy na.

Christmas Insert Cards

When I was a beginner Cricut crafter, I bought a lot of Insert Card SVG Files and until now, I haven’t finished cutting those cards. Hopefully, next year matapos ko na. Hehehe! These two Merry Christmas Cards are part of the Huge Best Seller Card Bundle I purchased and part of the Ultimate Dollar Deal Event tomorrow.

3D Santa Sled

I reduced the size of the 3D Santa Sled and because of that, I had a hard time cutting the “Believe” word so I changed that layer to “Pen”.

Santa Claus Gift Tags

This Santa Claus is part of the Christmas Candy Dome Bundle I purchased but I used the design to make gift tags. I just reduced the size of the Santa Claus.

Christmas Artist Trading Card

This was the first time I made an Artist Trading Card and it took me a lot of time thinking how to put this together but I’m happy with the result.

It’s Fine, I’m Fine, Everything is Fine Family Shirt

For the longest time, making family shirts has been on my “to-do” list so I even bought Light Transfer Paper that I can use since I don’t have a sublimation or pigment printer. But every Christmas Season, I am busy with something else so hindi ko naman nagagawa.

Then Cricut Philippines’ Day 3 Challenge is “Make Matching Holiday Shirts”. After reading the terms and conditions, I knew what design I would use because I bookmarked the Christmas Gnomes , Tangled Lights, and Everything is Fine SVG last year.

I looked for the Light Transfer Paper I bought two years ago and started personalizing my design on Cricut Maker. It was just a simple offset and I added our family name. Then I printed my design but the material had already expired so I just used sticker paper to print my design.

Christmas Tree Gnomes Ornament

I purchased the Christmas Gnomes Mega Bundle of Craft with Sarah and these Christmas Tree Gnomes are part of the bundle so I used the design to make Christmas Tree Gnome Ornament.

Christmas Lights Gnome

This is also part of the Christmas Gnomes Mega Bundle and I find it so cute. There is a female version of this hindi ko pa lang nagagawa.

Santa Dinosaur Christmas Tag

I found this Santa Dinosaur Christmas Tag on Cricut Design Space, this is a simple Print then Cut Project.

Merry Christmas and New Year Cake Topper

I found these designs on Cricut Design Space too so if you have a Cricut Access Subscription, you can recreate them.

Cricut Made Acrylic Ornaments

For the past few days, I’ve been making Christmas Ornaments but realized that I haven’t shared the ornaments I did last year. I have been making acrylic ornaments since 2020 for our Christmas tree and gifts.

To be honest, making an ornament takes a lot of time and patience but I feel happy when I see my finished craft projects on our Christmas tree or if family and friends tag me on their posts using my ornaments.

Christmas Alphabet Reindeer Scene Ornament

I made 10 ornaments using the Christmas Alphabet Reindeer Scene that I purchased from Design Bundles. These ornaments were my gift for my son’s teachers. This year, ito din sana gift ko but I will try new design, unfortunately hindi pala pwede kasi may naulit na teachers anak ko. Since Grade 7 to 9 kasi, iba-iba yung teachers niya.

Personalized Ornaments

I made these ornaments for my friends’ children. The design is from Cricut Design Space.

Merry and Married 2023

I made this “Merry and Married 2023” for my brother-in-law, this is part of our Christmas gifts. The design is from Cricut Design Space.

Stained Glass Nativity Ornament

Last year, I already made this Stained Glass Nativity but last month, nakita ko na may extra ako na nacut na design so para hindi naman sayang, I weed the vinyl, and fortunately, okay pa yung material. I used STA Acrylic Paint Markers to color the image and for a change, I used a Holographic Broken Glass Photo Top at the back of the ornament.

Stained Glass Poinsettia Ornament

A few days ago, I made this Stained Glass Poinsettia Ornament as my entry for the Cricut Made Ornaments Challenge. This is a shadow box, but I made it into an ornament using a slice function on Cricut Design Space. The poinsettia design is from Jennifer Maker's website. This time, I used my Ohuhu Acrylic Markers to color the image. You can watch my video here

You can also check my other acrylic ornaments project below.
