Be a Smart Shopper and Know Your Consumer Rights

It is not easy to earn money, you need to work hard for it so it is very important that you spend it wisely. As Charles Jaffe said “It’s not your salary that makes you rich, it’s your spending habits”

So as a wife, I need to make sure that my husband’s salary will not be to put into waste. I need to be a smart shopper because it will save money.

How to be a Smart Shopper

1. Stick to List

Whenever I’m in the grocery, I don’t just get anything I see in the market. I always have a list of what we need to buy just to make sure that I will not forget anything and also I will not make unnecessary purchase.

There are times that I also check for new products that we can try. Yes, stick to list + extra products, but I make sure that it will fit the budget.

2. Read labels

It is very significant to check the labels of the product especially if it will be your first time to try it. Read the labels and necessary details, make sure that you or your family does not have any food allergies.

3. Check the Expiration Date

Yes, expiration date. Check the shelf life, if you will not use or consume it immediately, do not hoard even it is buy one take one.

4. Condition of the Product

Check the condition of the product. I have my own experiences before that when I got home, the stuff that I bought were not in good condition. There is a hole in my loaf bread, a pack of sugar, noodles and even milk. Things that you will not notice if you are in a hurry.

I learned my lesson. Now, I carefully check the packaging of the items. I make sure that there is no hole in the packaging, canned goods have no dent, bottled stuff are sealed and boxes are in good condition.

5. Double-check the price

Always check the price. If there are sale items, make sure that you can save from it.

6. Be watchful at the counter

Yes, monitor the cash register and make sure that the price is correct.

7. Check and keep your receipt

Check the price, double posting and number of items.

Know Your Consumer Rights

But sometimes, no matter how careful you are, you will still encounter defective products. I have my own experiences like

1. I bought a pack of candies, I notice few pieces have no candy inside. Yes, empty wrapper only.

2. I bought a pack of noodles and when I opened the pack, there is no flavoring or seasoning inside.

3. I bought a fresh milk, the box was in good condition and months before pa expiration date but when you pour it, I saw a curdled milk not fresh milk.

I was disappointed because you paid for these products but you cannot eat or drink it. I cannot return because I don’t have the receipt anymore and sometimes the cost of returning the goods are much higher than the actual price of the product. Yes, wasted money.

My husband loves Duncan Hines Brownie Mix because it has walnuts. So last Sunday, I was about to cook brownies but when I opened the box, the pack of brownies was not sealed. Waah! The box was in good condition so I was really surprised when I opened it, may small insect pa na lumabas. Eww!

I was disappointed because the price is not cheap, P179.95. I was thinking if we can return the item because we haven’t returned any consumable goods before. But S&R Alabang is far, gagastos pa ng gas and toll.

So yesterday, my husband tried to return the item. Before he went home, he dropped by at S&R Alabang. He gave the box and the receipt, the staff checked the item and he was asked kung same item din ba. Of course, he said yes, favorite nga niya. hehehe!

I was glad that they replaced the defective product. My husband even asked them to open the box just to make sure na ok ang loob and walang butas.

November 11 - Grocery

November 13 - Discovered the defective product
November 14 - Return and Exchange the item

For Return and Exchange of Items

Items must be returned within 7 days from date of purchase. No receipt, No return.

Good thing, that I immediately opened it because according to receipt, I can only return the item within 7 days. What if, hindi ko agad niluto, goodbye P179.95?

How To Choose A Great Private Jet Charter To Travel In Style

Commercial flights are definitely not the best way to travel. You have to deal with time-consuming procedures and the flight conditions are definitely not as great as you would want them to be. This is why so many are now looking online for popular jet charters in Florida or in other parts of the world. The truth is that private chartered flights will be very interesting but you cannot choose the very first one that you find on a Google search. These are not going to be cheap but because of the benefits, you are going to seriously consider the opportunity.

Many different benefits can be highlighted when looking at private jet charters. For instance, you can get a flight whenever you want it as opposed to according to a specific schedule. In almost all airports in the world, you can arrange the transfers you want. Paperwork and formalities will no longer be necessary. You get to fly in complete luxury so choosing the best charter is something you will definitely appreciate.

Company Reputation

The very first thing you will have to take into account when you choose the private jet charter company is reputation. As opposed to simply focusing on the prices, company reputation is something that helps you to make a much better choice. In fact, costs should never be the very first of the factors you have to take into account. You basically want to compare the prices with the amenities and facilities that are offered. Prices are used to compare services of different jet charters that have similar services.

Companies like this are often held in high regard because they offer top-quality maintenance in order to maintain their services. For instance, these reputable companies always ensure the jets are using the highest quality fuel and oils to support the aircraft. Many chartered flights would use aeroshell oil w100, but being as the flight is just you, you can ask the ground support crew and pilots about what fuel types they are using. The more reputable the company, the less trouble they should have in giving you detailed answers.

The great thing about the modern business world is that you now have access to all the information you need about the company. This includes passenger capacity, spaciousness, plan details, safety information and so much more. Safety history should be checked, of course, since you want to fly with a company that did not have problems in the past.

Included Amenities

It does not matter why you want to rent a private jet charter. What should be of high importance is being 100% sure you will receive luxury and time savings. So many luxurious extras can be included in the flight, like Jacuzzi and gourmet meals. Look at all the different amenities you will receive the money that you pay and see if this is what you actually need.

The Staff

The last thing you should take into account is by looking at the staff that will serve you. This is one thing that few people take into account. You can easily read reviews about this on the internet. If you see that past travelers had problems with the considered private jet charter company, it is a certainty you want to look for something else. Have patience and be sure reviews are always taken into account and come from clients that did use the services of the charter company. The data that you receive should be more than enough to help you make a correct choice.

Origami for the Kids

When I was a kid, I was looking forward for holidays, semestral break and summer break because there is no classes. When I became a full time mom, I also look forward to no classes because I don’t need to wake-up early. Hehehe!

The problem of having no classes is, to make sure that my son is also productive. We have rules in the house that there will be no gadgets during weekdays so even it is school break, no Ipad.

My son is okay with it as long as he can watch TV, so ako naman ngayon ang di makasingit sa TV. But I don’t let him watch the whole day because it is not good so I need to give him activities or hayaan siya mabored. (which is good daw so they can decide on what to do).

My son likes folding paper, he always use my scratch paper in making airplanes. So when we went to Japan, I bought chiyogami paper at Daiso 108yen but it was only last week that I remembered about it. The paper is nice, there are 4 colors and two designs (stripes and polka dots).

So I told my son that he can use the paper, he waited for his daddy so they can play with it. He knew that his dad can make paper crane and I can only make boat, polo, ball and airplane. Hehehe! He was happy with his paper crane.

The following day, he wanted me to make more paper crane. Since my husband left to Singapore, I have no choice but to get the Ipad so he can watch video tutorials under my supervision.

I told him to choose origami for beginners so he can pratice folding paper. He even make a heart for me.

He really enjoyed the activity na halos maubos na yung papel. This reminds me to buy origami book so he can practice more.

My Shopping Experience at Sample Room

Gone are the days that you can only try products if there are free samples or demos in the supermarket or malls. Now, there is an online site where you can get freebies. Yes, free sample products that you can try.

I registered at Sample Room site on July 2014 but it took me a long time to try it. I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about it in social media and I’ve been receiving emails regarding the new samples but I did not mind it.

What is Sample Room?

Sample Room is a sampling site that offers products for you to try for FREE. Yes, the product is free but you have to shoulder the handling and shipping fee which is P110 (Metro Manila) P150 (Outside NCR) or more, it depends on the weight of your order. The good thing about this is you can try the product before buying it in the market. You don’t need to buy a full-sized product that you might not like in the end. It will save you from wasting your hard-earned money.

What are the Products?

They have products for the skin, hair, body, fragrance, cosmetics, tools, health, slimming, lifestyle, baby and even for the home.

How to Avail the Free Products?

1. Start your sampling journey by creating your Sample Room account at sampleroom.ph for FREE.
2. Upon registration, you get 100 points that you can use to get your samples.
3. Using your points, choose and select 1 to 3 samples that you want to try per transaction.
4. Pay the shipping and handling fee.
5. Wait for your samples.
6. Use the free samples for at least 5 days.
7. Lastly, rate and review the sample products in order for you to earn more points.

October 26, 2016

So after two years, I placed my order in Sample Room. I ordered last October 26, 2016 and paid P150 shipping fee via Paypal. I did not have a hard time in using their site.

October 27, 2016

I received an email that my order is complete. I checked my account for more information but there is no other information aside from COMPLETE status.

October 28, 2016

The following day, I emailed Sample Room because as far as I know once payment is confirmed, they will provide a tracking number.

October 29, 2016

They replied with my tracking number so I immediately track my order at XEND website.

October 27, 2016

Still no update so I emailed XEND to know the status of my order. I was informed....

Good day! Thank you for contacting Xend. Upon checking, your package is out for delivery today. Kindly anticipate our courier within the day.

And because of this, I did not go out of the house waiting for the package. My husband and son went to Ophtha without me. They went home and still no package.

October 30, 2016

Though I'm not sure if they deliver on Sunday, I did not go to the cemetery just to make sure that I’m home when the package arrives. But still, no package.

October 31 and November 1 are holidays so I was not expecting any deliveries.

November 2, 2016

I’ve made a follow-up again and I was advised

Good day! On behalf of Xend Team, would like to sincerely apologize for the delays of your shipments. Will coordinate this and make a follow up with them.

November 3, 2016

Good day! On behalf of Xend Team, would like to sincerely apologize for the delays of your shipments. Upon checking, your shipment is already out for delivery today. Please anticipate the arrival of our courier anytime within the day.

But still, no package. I was already thinking that I wasted P150 for an order that I don’t know if I will receive.

November 4, 2016

Your shipment was already transferred to one of our operation head and it is now in process of re-delivery. May I have your mobile number so we can contact you if our rider can't find the shipping address.

November 6, 2016

Thanks for the speedy reply for providing us your mobile number. Our dispatch team told me that they got some issue on our rider that's why your package was undelivered on 11/04/16. They will just re-delivery it to your shipping address and should contact you as soon as possible if they got some issue on the location. I did not receive any call.

November 7, 2016

Your shipment with a tracking number of XXX has been transferred to D&G. We are already coordinating with them to expedite the delivery of your shipment asap. We will keep you posted. Sorry for the inconveniences this has caused you.

November 9, 2016

I did not receive any update on November 8, 2016 so the following day, November 9, I already informed Sample Room regarding my order and I was advised.

We'll follow up this to our courier and will inform you once we got a feedback from them. Thank you!

On the same day, my order came. It was not a delivery guy from Xend because the lady is riding a private car. I was happy that after 12 days, my order came. Finally, tapos na rin. The package was not in good condition, sira na nga yung plastic. Good thing may paper bag pa yung Sample Room so wala naman nawala.

This is not the first time that I ordered online, we’re not living in the mountain para hindi madeliver yung package. To think kakadeliver lang ng XEND sa bahay ng October 27, (next day delivery order from Candy Shop Prints). So yes, my first order with Sample Room is not a good one. Nastress ko kakahintay, kakatrack, kakafollow-up. I cannot go out of the house because I’m waiting for the delivery guy.

I got Zenuntrients Shampoo and Conditioner. For now, no more online shopping muna. On a positive note, at least I received it, di nasayang ang P150 ko. I experienced lost packages na rin (winnings from giveaways).

Update:

November 28 - Ordered and pay via Paypal
November 30 - Bonifacio Holiday
December 1 - Received my order

Last October was my first time to try Sample Room. My first experience was not pleasant because it took them almost 2 wks to deliver the package. I believe in second chances so I ordered last Monday and got 3 samples today. Hay salamat, wala ng stress sa pagfollow up. :) All for 100 points again. Hehehe! I ordered Hygienix Hand care, Zenutirents Spahnitizer and Zenutrients lip scrub.
***
I took advantage the Free Shipping last February 14, 2017 so I got all 3 samples for FREE.  I received LipIce lip balm, Maxipeel Zero and Belo Baby Hand Sanitizer.

February 14, 2017 - ordered at Sample Room
February 20, 2017 - received my order
***
I ordered one sample which is Belo Body Cream Spray last September 4, 2017 paid via Paypal and I received my order last September 6, 2017. The courier is no longer Xend, it was Ninja Van. Same experience with Beauty MNL.
***
I ordered last October 16, 2017 paid via Paypal and I received my order last October 18, 2017. Mukhang mabilis itong Ninja Van Courier compared pag Xend ang nagdeliver. I got Johnson's Baby Lotion, Himalaya Complete Care Toothpaste and Himalaya Sparkling White Toothpaste.

The Chef’s Insta Mug

Nowadays, there are so many products that will make your life easier. There are instant noodles, canned goods, bottled foods and even cake or cookie mixes. Of course, nothing beats cooking or baking from scratch but it doesn’t make you a bad mom if you buy this stuff.

If you can prepare everything from scratch, then good for you. But for me, I’m a fan of ready mixes because we can have a merienda or snack whenever we’re hungry. I buy these products so I have something to prepare when I have limited time.

Yesterday, we ate brownie and mocha cake in a cup. I remember “The Chef’s Insta Mug” that I have received when I attended the Vita Cubes event. We tried the Gooey Chocolate Fudge Cake and Creamy Chunky Mocha Cake. The box includes cup, spoon and ingredients you need to cook the cake.

The directions are so easy to understand and follow so even your kids can make their own cake. You just need to mix everything and put it in the microwave and cook for 1 minute. Oh yes, you only need 1 minute to cook this.

Then put all the toppings and to make it more special, put a scoop of your favorite ice cream. Yummy! I remember the famous brownie in a cup that we ate when we went to Cebu last summer.

Read: La Marea Pastry Shop

Directions:

1. Open the box and pull out the microwavable cup inside.
2. In your microwavable cup, put 9 scoops of water using the spoon provided (equivalent to 3 tbsp)
3. Add the cake mix then the cake flavor. Make sure to mix well.
4. Microwave your cake batter at medium-high setting for 1 minute.
5. Careful in pulling out the microwavable cup from the microwave oven. Cup is a bit hot.
6. Top of freshly-baked cake with creamy fudge and delicious toppings.

Kathryn and Liza’s Kitchen Best Friend

Who is your bestfriend in the kitchen?

The kitchen used to be a scary place for young people and cooking was a daunting task reserved for mothers and household helps. But technology played a role in guiding people around the kitchen. Nowadays, new cooks search online for cooking videos or check out “food hacks” to be able to produce any dish they want that they can, in turn, show off on social media.

Young celebrities Kathryn Bernardo and Liza Soberano also enjoy cooking for their loved ones. They are the newest tandem to endorse AJI-NO-MOTO® Umami Seasoning. Apart from what can be found on the Internet, Kathryn and Liza became more confident cooks because they can rely on a brand of seasoning to make delicious home-cooked dishes by bringing out the natural goodness of food. Experienced cooks or kitchen newbies can make AJI-NO-MOTO® their best friend in the kitchen – an ally in serving nourishing and enjoyable dishes for the whole family.

The new AJI-NO-MOTO® TV Commercial features three (3) dishes to show the versatility of the product in making all kinds of dishes delicious. Among the dishes are the Omurice, a Japanese-inspired meal composed of rice and omelet, Kathryn’s Adobong Puti recipe, a different take on the classic adobo without soy sauce and the all-time favorite comfort food Beef Nilaga

AJI-NO-MOTO® can be widely used in a variety of dishes because it has no smell or specific flavor of its own and can therefore be used to enhance the original flavor of food. This is a safe and quality product that is made from natural crops like sugar cane, corn or cassava and manufactured through the natural process of fermentation. AJI-NO-MOTO® enhances the taste of food by providing umami taste. Umami is the fifth basic taste also described as rich, savory and ‘malinamnam’ derived from food rich in glutamate like tomatoes, cheese, mushrooms, ham and seafood.

Birthday Staycation at EDSA Shangri-la

Our family is not into birthday parties so I was not surprised when my son told me that he wanted a staycation for his 8th birthday. He said, “Mommy, I want a hotel with playhouse”.

Read: 8th Birthday

I know he was not referring to a small playroom. He wants a hotel or resort that offers activities for kids just like his experience in Crimzone. So it was really a challenge for me to look for a hotel or resort.

Read: CrimZone at Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan

In addition, I don’t know if we can have a staycation because my husband is always out of the country so I can’t just book agad-agad tapos bigla wala pala siya. I had to wait for his October schedule, so when he said that he had no trip on 1st weekend of October, I immediately searched for a hotel.

I was running out of time, good thing I saw the Festive Promo of EDSA Shangri-la so I checked their site. I learned that they have Wet Play Area at the swimming pool so I was sold already because I knew my son would like it. It is one thing that we missed in our Singapore trip, so at least he can try it here in the Philippines.

I was glad that my husband was able to book a room the day before our trip. Napapadalas na ang pagcram namin sa mga alis. Anyway, we’re so excited about our staycation because Shangri-la is known for good service. We’ve been to Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Spa before but I’m not sure if my son still remembers that trip.

Read: Day in Paradise at Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Spa

We left early to avoid the traffic. Just like other luxury hotels, the security is very tight. We know that 2PM is the check-in time but the receptionist offered an upgrade so we could check in already (12NN). This is not free, we paid extra for it. Well, it is not really an upgrade because same size of room but according to the staff, the Garden Wing rooms are old na, ito bago na daw.

When we saw the room, it looked new and well-lighted. Our view is the swimming pool. Let’s have a room tour.

The sad part is, there is no bathtub. It is something that we always look forward to in our hotel staycation. Two showers are available and they have a seat in the shower room.

Since this is a luxury hotel, I was not impressed with the toiletries. It is the usual toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, dental kit, vanity kit, and shower cap.

After several minutes, they delivered a complimentary birthday cake for my son. Not just one but two. Good thing they gave me another cake because the candle that I had was big. Hehehe!

We went to Shangri-la Mall for our lunch. When we went back to our room, we were having a hard time with our keycard, nag-eerror sa elevator so we went back to the reception. It was a blessing in disguise because the staff informed us about the Cub Trainings. He forgot to give it nung nagcheck-in kami.

Better late than never, I’m so happy because this is one thing that my son looks forward to his staycation and meron pala sa EDSA Shangri-la every weekend.

2PM Plant & Garden
4PM My Kitchen Moment
6PM My Movie Time
8AM Kids Off the Couch
11AM Learn a Magic Trick

So I immediately checked the schedules and hindi na kami umabot sa 2PM so my husband and son went to the pool while I took advantage the Free wifi, so nag-upload ako ng YouTube videos. :)

At 4PM, my husband accompanied my son to the Cubs training area. The My Kitchen Moment activity lasts 40 to 1 hour so you have free time. They will just call you if the activity is already finished so you can pick up your child.

We picked up our son and went to Shangri-la Mall for our dinner. A walkway connects the hotel and mall, so no need to cross the street anymore. We had an early dinner at Pepper Lunch.

Read: Dinner at Pepper Lunch

After dinner, we went straight to the Cubs Training area again for the My Movie Time. They watched “Lady and the Tramp”, dalawa lang ang umattend maybe because the movie was not that interesting. Inantok nga ko. Hehehe!

The following day, we had an early buffet breakfast at the HEAT (Healthy Eating Amazing Taste). Yun pala meaning nun, now I knew. Hehehe! The room package includes two complimentary breakfasts so we have to pay for my son.

I have very limited pictures of the buffet area but we were very much satisfied with the buffet spread and taste. Di lang sulit sa anak ko na mahina kumain. Hehehe!

Breakfast P1540 adult | P770 kid

Then we proceeded to Santan Room for the 8AM Kids off the Couch activity, my son really likes to attend all the activities so we need to adjust our eating time. Hehehe!

When the staff called us, we brought swimming attire na para diretso swim na sa pool. My son had a pleasant time with slide and wet play area. Click here for the video.  What nice about the pool, there are lifeguards everywhere and just like in Shangri-la Mactan, they provide towels even without asking.

My son attended the last activity which is Learn a Magic Trick at 11AM. He really had a good time in all the activities and he said we need to visit other Shangri-la hotels so he can earn more badges. Lol

When I saw the pool area of Shangri-la, feeling ko wala ko sa city so if you need a quick getaway without traveling far, I suggest you visit this hotel. We savored our weekend getaway. My son had a blast and a memorable birthday staycation, I wish we could extend our stay but we need to go back to reality.

Dinner at Pepper Lunch

We had a staycation at EDSA Shangri-la last month which reminds me that I haven’t blogged about it yet. I hope before our semestral break ends, I can finish my post. Hehehe!

Anyway, since the food at the hotel is so steep, we ate our lunch and dinner at the Shangri-la Mall. Good thing that there is a connecting bridge for that so you don’t have to go out the hotel and cross the street. I appreciate hotels that are near the malls so there is no problem with the food.

Since we have very limited time because my son will attend the Movie Night at the Cub Training, we did not waste our time looking for a restaurant. We just ate at Pepper Lunch since it’s been a while since our last visit.

Ever since I tasted the Big Ribeye Steak P635 in Pepper Lunch, yun na lagi order ko while my husband will order just water, joke. Hehehe! He will order a cheaper meal para tipid.

#cookyourownfood
But last month, I ordered Pepper Steak P598 para maiba naman. The meal includes corn, vegetables and rice. The serving is huge so we always order two meals only and I shared my food with my son. The taste is good too but since konti lang naman difference, I’ll go with Big Ribeye Steak na, may mashed potato pa.

My husband ordered Beef Bulgogi Pepper Rice P255, sweet and savory beef with kimchi rice, a classic beef pepper rice with a Korean twist!

Cash payment only. As of this writing, I wanted to go back again. Nagutom ko bigla. Hehehe!

5 Unique Cemetery in the Philippines

Since today is exactly November 2, “All Souls Day”, I will be sharing with you the different cemeteries that we have visited in the Philippines. Four of the cemeteries are considered as tourist spots.

1. Sunken Cemetery in Camiguin

Sunken cemetery is located in Camiguin, the second smallest provinces of the Philippines. From the word itself, the cemetery is under the water so you can only see the cross in the middle of the sea.

The cemetery was buried when Mt Vulcan erupted in the year 1870. During low tide, the crosses of the tombs are visible. You can reach the cross by riding a small boat but we did not try it because they are charging P100 for the ride and alam niyo na, takot ko lang malaglag sa semeteryo. Hehehe!

Read: Camiguin Tour

2. Perpetual Pet Cemetery in Paradizoo

Several years ago we visited Paradizoo, inside the farm is Perpetual Pet Cemetery. It was my first time to see a pet cemetery. Now, they are offering Pet Columbary too.

Read: Paradizoo

3. San Joaquin Cemetery in Iloilo

During our 6th wedding anniversary, we went to Bacolod - Guimaras and Iloilo and before going back to Manila, I decided to visit the beautiful churches of Iloilo. I included Campo Santo or San Joaquin Cemetery in our itinerary. My husband was teasing me na pati ba naman cemetery nasa itinerary namin. Well, nandun na rin naman kami why not daaanan di ba. Hehehe!

This cemetery is the most preserved cemetery in Iloilo. It is situated at one of the highest points of the town so you can see the seascape. It is along the hi-way so you will not miss it.

4. Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery in Laguna

My grandmother used to live in Victoria, Laguna so every month we always visit her. Four years ago, we spent our Holy Week in her house and out of the blue my husband decided to go to Taytay Falls

Read: Taytay Falls

On our way to the falls, we saw the Nagcarlan Church and we dropped by. And because, we are already in Nagcarlan, my husband decided to go to Nagcarlan Underground Cemetery.

It was established in the year 1845 below t. San Cristobal. Unfortunately, it's closed during Holy Week pala so we were not able to go inside, hanggang labas lang kami.

5. Hanging Coffins in Sagada

Sagada trip won't be complete without seeing the hanging coffins. You can see these coffins hanging on the cliff if you will take the Echo Valley Tour. Going down the cliff is not easy so my husband was the only one who went with our guide. My son and I stayed, we can already see the coffins from afar.

Rubber Stamps

When your kids are in preschool or grade 1 level, you will notice that teachers love to stamp their notebooks, books, artwork, or any school work in school. We feel happy if we see Very Good or Good stamps. But I notice paulit-ulit lang stamps nila.

I’ve been looking for rubber stamps because it is a nice gift for teachers on Teacher’s Day or Christmas. So when I searched where I can buy this, I saw one post na sa Divisoria meron. Waah! It is too far, mas mahal pa siguro gastos ko kaysa sa bibilhin ko. Hehehe!

Then my friend suggested an online store but when I checked the site, the Teacher’s Rubber Stamp is not available (out of stock). Good thing I saw these rubber stamps at SM Department Store and I was happy because it is cheaper. If I remember it right, it is more or less P120.

This was my gift to his teachers last Christmas and natuwa ko after the Christmas break, nagamit na nila. Oh di ba, may iba na sila choices na rubber stamps. Now, I’m still thinking what to give this year since hindi na mahilig magstamp ang mga teacher sa Grade 2. The custom rubber stamps are also a nice gift but it is too expensive for my budget, 7 ang teachers ng anak ko. Hehehe!

If you have family, relatives, or friends who are into crafts, the alphabet stamps are also nice. I bought one for myself too. I bought it at SM Department store too, I just can’t remember the price.

I don’t have a number stamp set yet so next in line yun. Aside from that, I also want a self-inking stamp. :)

Shopping at The Candy Shop Prints

There are online sellers that sell nice products that I like but when I check the payment method, there is no Paypal or Credit Card Option so I will not place an order. I dislike going to the bank just to pay for my order because I need to spend money for transportation, sometimes there is an additional P50 bank fee and of course, I hate the long lines in the bank.

2014

Two years ago, I learned that "The Candy Shop Prints” accepts Paypal and Credit Card payment so I did not have second thoughts. I’ve been meaning to have my own contact card just like any bloggers. Though I’m not really active in attending events because of my location and I have to prioritize my son but maybe someday I can use it. #atleastiamready

So for my first order, I ordered my Contact Cards, Memo Cards and Note Cards. I received a payment form and paid it via credit card without a service charge. After few days, I received the soft proof and I approved it. I finally received my order in less than one week after my approval.

2015

It was a smooth transaction so last year, I ordered Note Cards, Money Envelopes and Gift Tags for gifts and of course for my personal use. This time I used Paypal payment method. After my credit card was hacked, I tried to avoid using it online.

One thing I like in The Candy Shop Prints is, It doesn’t charge client “Paypal fee”. I ordered in other online sellers and I have to pay extra because I chose Paypal.

2016

This year because Christmas is near, I ordered Note Cards, Money Envelopes and Gift Tags. This time maaga na so I can prepare early for the holidays. I had a problem with my Paypal so I have to deposit my payment. I’m thinking if I should activate the Transfer to Anyone feature in BPI mobile app so I don’t have to go to the bank anymore. What do you think?

I ordered last October 12, 2016 and I received my order October 27, 2016. Yes, it takes time because they will only process the order once payment is made, you need to wait for the soft proof for approval and then the printing process. The delivery time depends on your location, whether within Metro Manila or outside NCR. So if you are planning to order for the holiday, do it as early as possible.

Update 2017: They no longer send soft proof after your payment. They will process your order, print, and ship the product after your payment.
