The Best Movie I’ve Ever Seen

We’re supposed to watch movie yesterday but I wasn’t feeling well maybe because of lack of sleep and my husband wanted to rest too after their trekking last Friday.

So we had movie marathon yesterday, my husband chose “3 Idiots” and I was hesitant to watch this because I thought it was a nonsense movie and I don’t even know the artist. But after few minutes I got interested and hooked. It was just an ordinary story of three college students who wanted to finish Engineering but each student has different story to tell.

This movie is full of fun, adventures, touching scenes and life lessons. I laughed, I cried, I laughed and I cried again while watching movie and for the first time I watched a movie for three hours without boring moment.

I do encourage you to watch this movie because you will learn a lot. It will inspire and motivate you. The best movie I've ever seen. Sharing to you some memorable lines and scene.

I want to be...

I and my mommy friends in school had dinner last night and on our way to the restaurant we’re talking about our kids. One of my mommy friends shared that she is currently saving for her daughter’s on the job training next year. Her daughter will have OJT in USA and we all know that it is not cheap. This is the reason why I wanted to take Tourism when I was young because I wanted to travel. Some student travel as early as high school and I love the idea of exploring and learning while travelling. But I must admit that Tourism is not for me because of height requirement. #realitycheck

As of now, I never asked my son what he wanted to be when he grows up but I do remember that my mommy friend told me that my son wanted to become a “chef”. Ethan did not mention it to me and I was lucky that her son told her about the “I want to be” activity. Some of Ethan’s classmates wanted to become a soccer player, driver, vendor, policeman, fireman, cook and many more. Well, time will tell...

Customized Cabinet

Few years ago, we moved to our house even it is not yet fully furnished because we wanted to save. We don’t want to pay amortization and rent at the same time. Little by little we are doing some home improvement depending on our budget and time. Few months ago, we started customizing our cabinet to replace the old cabinet and to maximize our space. Teaching a Pre-School Kid

I always say that I’m very impatient so I know that I could never be a teacher but when you have a kid, whether you like it or not you have to teach them. It is really stressful to teach pre-school kid just like my son because he’s not serious. For him, everything is play, play, and play. He will finish his writing exercises basta matapos lang. He doesn’t care kung maganda o panget sulat niya. I kept on telling him, blue to blue, red to blue but he doesn’t mind.

There are times na hindi ko alam kung maiinis ako o matatawa.

Eye Redness

Last Wednesday, we went to SM to buy some stuff. My husband went to fitting room and there’s a big mirror outside that room, I noticed the redness of my eyes. As in red na red siya and my husband said baka dahil wala ka tulog. So I did not mind it at all but after two days, the redness is still there and I feel pain when I woke up last Friday. My mommy friends in school also noticed my eye redness and teasing me na baka sore eyes.

Honestly, I’m a bit worried because I’ve read that I need to call health care provider if the redness are longer than 1-2 days. I texted my husband to buy Eye Mo and the following morning no more redness. Yun lang pala solusyon, muntikan na ko magpacheck-up.

According to Medline Plus site, eye redness is due to dilated or swollen blood vessels which cause the surface of the eye to look bloodshot or red. It may result from too much sun, dust, dry air, allergies, something in the eye, coughing, infection or injury. For fatigue or eyestrain, try to rest your eyes and no need for treatment. If you have vision problem or eye pain, call your doctor.

Army Navy

After I accompany my son in his classroom, I always stay in the waiting area till his dismissal. This is my usual routine since last year, honestly waiting for 3 hours is no joke but I was glad that I met other moms because killing time is not a problem anymore.

Most of the times, we stay in the waiting area but there are times that we go to the nearby supermarket, do our grocery, buy school supplies if there’s any project, and pay bills. Once in a blue moon we eat our just like last Friday, we went to Army Navy. I told them that I’ll just stay in the school because I don’t eat burger and burritos but they still convinced me to join them. FYI, the only burger that I order and eat is bacon mushroom melt of Wendy’s.

It was my first time in Army Navy and as expected I don’t know what to eat so I just ordered Freedom Fries P75. You have to place your order and pick up your food. My mommy friends ordered burritos, burger, chicken and fries too.

Seasoned, thin-cut, crispy, zesty fries.

They all enjoyed their ordered but my verdict for the fries is “just ok”. I still prefer thick-cut fries.

Pasalubong from Tuguegarao

I’ve meaning to visit Tuguegarao for the longest time because I wanted to see the famous Callao Cave. Last Monday was my chance to go to Tuguegarao because my husband had a business trip there but unfortunately, we could not join him because I need to rest and my son needs to go to school.

I hope there will be next time. Anyway, when he asked me kung ano gusto ko pasalubong? I said none, just be home safe and sound. Honestly, I don’t know any specialties in Tuguegarao except for Pansit Batil-Patong but since I’ve read mixed reviews about this pansit, I did not ask for it.

I was not expecting for any pasalubong but he brought some Chicha-rabao and Carabao milk candy. I brought this chicharon in school and let my mommy friends in school to taste it, then nung marami na nakakain, I asked them “masarap?” They said yes and I told him “Carabao Chips yan”. They were all shocked, some stopped eating the chips. Hehehe! I haven’t tasted the milk candy so I’m not sure if it is good.

I kept on telling that health is wealth so I really make sure that my son is healthy and strong. Acute Gastritis

I was diagnosed of acute gastritis last Friday. The doctor asked few questions and pressed my stomach to check where the pain is coming from. He advised me to undergo some lab tests. After five hours, he prescribed medicine for 5 days and I was released in the hospital. He did not give me any information so I did my research and here’s what I found.

Acute Gastritis is inflammation of the stomach lining. It is often result of bacteria that also cause stomach ulcers but it can also because of alcohol, pain relievers, or injury.

Signs and Symptoms are:

*burning ache in upper abdomen.

*nausea

*vomiting

*a feeling of fullness in upper abdomen.

But most of the times it doesn’t cause signs and symptoms.

Factors that increase gastritis are:

*bacterial infection

*regular use of pain relievers

*older age

*excessive alcohol use

*stress

*bile reflux disease

*own body attacking cells in the stomach

*other diseases and conditions

In my case, stress is the cause of my gastritis. If gastritis is left untreated, it will lead to stomach bleeding, stomach ulcers or stomach cancer.

Home Remedies

*Eat smaller and more frequent meals.

*Avoid eating spicy, acidic, fried or fatty foods.

*Drink alcohol in moderation

*Switch pain relievers

*Manage stress.

I was reading the foods to avoid and I feel that I would die of starvation because almost all my favorites are listed there such as meat, fast food, dairy products, cakes and pastries, ice cream, lemon and many more. #waah!

Health is Wealth

It seems that 2013 is not a good year for me with regard to my health because since January I’ve been a regular visitor of the hospital due to psoriasis, UTI and last Friday, I was back again because of acute gastritis.

Last Thursday, I know something is wrong with me because I can feel pain in my stomach but still I accompanied my son to tutoring class and school and finished my household chores. After dinner, my stomach pain was more intense and my husband was convincing me to go to the hospital. But I refused because I don’t want to go back to the hospital again. I took Mallox thinking that it was just hyperacidity and I tried to sleep.

The following morning, I can still feel pain but I was still in denial and thinking that it was just a stomachache or diarrhea. So my husband left for work and I was doing my normal routine like blogging. After 1- 2 hours, I can no longer tolerate the pain, I was literally crying in pain and I called my husband asking if he can go home. I know that he has a presentation that day so I wasn’t really sure if he can come home but I was glad that he went home.

We went to Asian Hospital E.R. immediately. Even they gave me pain reliever I can still feel pain so I undergo liver, gallbladder, biliary tree, pancreas and spleen sonogram just to check if I have stones. I was so nervous because I don’t want to undergo any surgery but thank God, no stones and everything is normal.

I thought I would stay in the hospital but they finally released me after 5 hours. I took rest for two days, feeling donya lang because I just eat, sleep and using iPad. My husband was in charge of household chores and tutoring.

Now, I realized that health is a real wealth and I should take care of myself because when I’m sick everybody is affected, my husband has no choice but to leave the office and my son has no choice but to be absent in school. We stopped the tutoring class so we won’t be stress every morning. We now have enough time to eat two meals, early breakfast, and brunch before 10:30. Unlike before we only eat brunch. Anyway, the only reason why I enrolled him in tutor class because he has no summer activity last May.

You need to get an idea of what this once-in-a-lifetime experience is going to cost. How many bones do you need to save up? You will be saving up too because this is on your bucket list. From your research, you have learned what a reasonable price is for a fishing experience in Hawaii. The charters are usually broken up into a full day, three-quarter day, and half-day. A fair price for a full day would run you around $950. A fair price for a three-quarter day would be about $750. Finally, a fair price for a half-day would cost you about $550. Keep in mind the fact that you can probably find something cheaper, but it may cost you the captain’s experience, a hoopty boat, and a disappointing fishing trip. If you go with a reasonable, well-established charter company, your dreams of catching the big one will most likely be realized.

Goodbye Google Reader

Last March 13, 2013 Google announce that they will have spring cleaning and starting July 1, 2013 no more Google Reader.

“We launched Google Reader in 2005 in an effort to make it easy for people to discover and keep tabs on their favorite websites. While the product has a loyal following, over the years usage has declined. So, on July 1, 2013, we will retire Google Reader. Users and developers interested in RSS alternatives can export their data, including their subscriptions, with Google Takeout over the course of the next four months.”

If you’ve been following this blog via RSS feed or GFC (Google Friend Connect), you will no longer receive any update starting July 1, 2013. So if you still want to be updated, you can follow me on my Facebook Page, Twitter Page or Bloglovin.

I had Bloglovin for two years already but I’m not really active in using it but now I’m starting to import my RSS subscriptions from Google Reader to Bloglovin so I can still read and follow other blogs.
