I discovered that Grandparents’ Day started in 1965 and Poland was the first country to celebrate it. The date varies per country and here in the Philippines, it is celebrated every second Sunday of September since 1987. Grabe ang tagal na noh pero kelan lang ako naging aware. 

I no longer have grandparents so I decided to make a card for my mom. Using the Peg Doll Family Creator, I mixed and matched the elements so I could personalize this card. A picture of my mom with six grandchildren. The font is Happy Heart. Another option is printing the card and putting it on a photo frame. 

This is a simple printable card. I printed, die cut, and attached the design to my card base. This is my entry for Bee Happy Weeklies Week 36: Grandparents.

I made this O-fish-ally Sixty Card for someone who loves fishing. I used the Layered Fish Paper Craft SVG of The Bearded Housewife. I reduced the design so it would fit my 5x7-inch card. I used Distress Oxide for the background. Lastly for the title, a combination of white cardstock and premium shimmer vinyl. 

I made these Gnome Teacher Easel Cards for my son’s teachers using Craft with Sarah Teacher Gnomes design. I also submitted this as my entry for Teacher’s Day in one of the groups that I joined and I was fortunate to win the prize. 

The Frankenstein Monster and 3D Ghost are part of my Halloween Craft Projects that I shared before. Both files are designed by Digital Gems.

I cut 3D Pumpkin Patch and 3D Warrior SVG files, both files are designed by My 3D SVG. I was not happy with the result, but I still assembled the design. I plan to repeat these two projects especially the 3D Warrior and hopefully, I can get a clean cut. 

This Sugar Skull was my entry for Dia de Muertos, I found the sugar skull design on Cricut Design Space. This is the last Halloween Craft Project that I did. 

This is my last-minute project before we went to Sydney Australia. I was supposed to use this Australia Kangaroo SVG for our t-shirts but because we didn’t have an internet connection for almost a week, I was not able to do the project. So I just made a layered paper craft and I brought this to Sydney. I also submitted this craft and luckily I won a PHP300 voucher (random entry).

The first theme is “Washi Tape”. This is quite challenging for me because I don’t collect washi tapes so I have very limited resources. The safe project for me is an “anniversary card”, I used washi tape for the background and letters. And I used my Cricut Maker to print and cut the clipart and Sizzix for die cutting.

I initially planned to make a shaker card but for some reason, the washi tape is not moving maybe because I am using photo paper so medyo sticky yung paper. 

I thought I will only submit one entry for the washi tape category but after doing the card and saw my colorful washi tape. An idea pop into my head so I decided to create a colorful house just like the houses in Quezon province during Pahiyas Festival.

Prior to joining Weeklies 16, I only use washi tape to tape my dies or paper so it won't move when die cutting or cutting. But after doing my card and colorful house, I never look washi tape the same way again so I started adding washi tape to my crafting supplies. I got my washi tapes within 3 days so I still have time to join Weeklies 16. hehehe!

This project was inspired by "Cath Kidston" pattern so I made a Purse Gift Card Holder and Woman Gift Tag using We R Memory Keepers washi tape, Sizzix  Pearlescent Medium and Ohuhu Markers. 

My mom lives across the miles, so nabibilang ko lang sa daliri yung times na magkakasama kaming magcelebrate. According to my blog posts, we were able to celebrate in year 2013, 2019 and 2022. Anyway, since we can’t be there for her birthday celebration, I just made a birthday card so at least yung card ko makaattend. Hehehe! 

The past few months, I slow down on crafting but I still buy crafting materials and tools. Well, “I am not a craft hoarder, I’m the curator of an extensive private craft supply collection”. hehehe! And because, I bought a lot of Distress Oxide, dies, and embossing folders, I am pressuring myself to use them. 

So just like our anniversary card, I designed the card using clipart, then print and die-cut. I also used my Distress Oxide to color the embossed paper. I am still practicing my blending skills using Distress Oxide.

Actually, I only need one card but I want to maximize the watercolor paper so, I ended up with 4 designs. The envelope can fit two so I sent two cards to my mom but I am not sure if it will make it on time.

But of course, it is a milestone for us so we need to celebrate. This year, we are celebrating our 20 years as a couple and our 17th wedding anniversary. Wow, I can’t imagine na ganoon katagal na pala kami. Since same month ang aming anniversaries, most of the time isahang celebration na lang but since two decades is something special, nagdalawang celebration kami. So how did we celebrate our anniversary?

A few years ago, we had an anniversary celebration at Cafe Ilang Ilang of The Manila Hotel so for our 20th-year couple anniversary, we decided to try a new buffet restaurant. I was searching for hotel promos but couldn’t find anything so I just looked for a budget-friendly buffet. We ended up at Fresh in Solaire, the rate is still expensive but cheaper compared to other hotels that I’ve checked. I will share our buffet experience in a separate post. 

Last year, we celebrated our anniversary at Chateau Hestia so for a change, we decided to have a beach trip in Anilao, Batangas. We only had an overnight stay because this resort is not cheap, parang lahat may bayad compared sa 3 resorts na natry namin in Anilao. Anyway, despite that we still enjoyed our short trip kasi konti lang guests. This deserves a blog post so wait for my review. 

I’m an occasional crafter so I only craft when there is an occasion so this month I made an anniversary card. This is a simple Print and Die-Cut project, for the graphics, I used Romantic Couple Watercolor Collection by Stella Art. I created two cards, para sure na may anniversary card na si hubby for me. Hehehe! “Today we celebrate the best decision you ever made”

We gained a lot of weight last year so I’m trying my best to lose weight by reducing my sweet intake. Knowing me, I love sweets so it is really a struggle. I did not make a big cake topper because I don’t have a plan to buy cake so I just made a small cake topper for cupcakes or bread. Again, it is a Print and Die-Cut project. 

I asked my husband to buy ensaymada na lang for our anniversary. He bought ube and leche flan ensaymada at The Bellevue Hotel. That’s it!
