A few weeks later, my husband and I had lunch at Kuya J and availed of the 50% off Set Meals. There are three choices, and we chose the cheapest set, Set C for PHP600. The set includes Grilled Pork Belly, Sinigang na Bangus, Crispy Pinakbet, Kakanin Trio, Plain Rice Platter, and Iced Tea Pitcher.
While waiting for our food, we were surprised kasi may complimentary snacks na pala ang Kuya J.
The meal is good for 2-3 persons and we thought, hindi namin mauubos yung food pero naubos pala namin. And my husband ordered Halo-Halo PHP68 pa kasi 50% off din.
So far, kada visit ko sa Kuya J, paiba-iba yung menu nila pero sobrang sulit yung 50% off Set Meals.
Update March 2025
My husband and I were supposed to eat at Ambos Panederia + Cocina so we could tried their meals but after we parked at Southwoods Mall, tinamad na kami maglakad so we ended up at Kuya J. Unfortunately, the 50% Sulit Meal was no longer available so we ordered from the Solo Meals.
We ordered Solo Kare-Kare PHP370 and Solo Bulalo PHP375, the meal included a side dish, rice, and a drink.
Our order taste okay lang, mas gusto yung dati namin nakain. Parang naalatan kami sa food, baka nagkataon lang.
Anyway, when I checked the details of the receipt, kulang pala yung binigay sa amin na food. Wala kami nakuha na Soup at Crispy Kangkong. Part pala ng meal yun and nakalagay sa receipt namin. Lesson learned, icheck maigi kung ano ang included sa meal package and make sure na naserve lahat. Also, check the receipt before leaving the restaurant.
