When we went to Cebu last April, I take note of the restaurants that I want to or I should try. I was happy because I was able to try new restaurants during our last visit. Five years ago, we had very limited time so we only ate at Casa Verde, CnT Lechon and Tides at Shangri-la Mactan Resort and Spa.

If you are planning to visit Cebu, here are some restaurants that we have tried that you can include in your list of “Where to Eat in Cebu”.
1. Sugbahan - this is the first restaurant that we have tried which is located at the Food Court of Ayala Center Mall Cebu. My husband ordered BBQ, liempo and tinolang halaan. My son likes their BBQ so on our next visit, he ate BBQ while I ate lechon at CnT.
2. CnT Lechon - I was happy because Cebu City Marriott Hotel is just so near Ayala Center Cebu so I can eat lechon anytime I want. I always love CnT lechon, and this lechon is affordable too compared to other lechon that I’ve tried.

CnT Lechon
3. Hukad by Golden Cowrie - my husband always eats at Golden Cowrie in Lahug so it was our first time in Hukad by Golden Cowrie, still located at Ayala Center Cebu. The restaurant offers Filipino foods + unlimited rice, most of the diners here are families and barkada.

4. Cebu’s Best Rico’s Lechon- I always read and hear good reviews about their lechon so I really make sure that I will not leave Cebu without eating here. We ate at F. Cabahug branch and my experience wasn’t good. My son and I were not happy with their lechon.

5. The Original AA BBQ - my husband always eats here every time he visits Cebu. We ate at their Lahug branch. You can choose the meat and seafood that you like and they will cook or grill it for you.

6. Sinangag Express - when we transferred to Cebu Parklane International Hotel, our initial plan is to eat at Kuya J Restaurant which is already available in Luzon. But because I’m lazy to go out, my husband bought dinner at Sinangag Express which is walking distance from the hotel.
7. Buffet Breakfast at Manuel’s Restaurant - our stay in Cebu Parklane International Hotel has a free buffet breakfast at Manuel’s Restaurant and we were happy with their buffet spread. You can eat lunch and dinner here too.
8. Azure Beach Club - this restaurant is located inside Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan near the beachfront. The restaurant offers Asian Cuisine, they have pasta, noodles, pizza and many more.
9. Saffron Cafe - since we prefer Filipino foods, we always eat at Saffron Cafe. We ate our dinner, breakfast and lunch at Saffron Cafe.

10. Zubuchon - if you forgot to buy pasalubong, don’t worry because there is Zubuchon inside the Mactan International Airport, my husband ate dinner and bought lechon here before our flight. My son and I ate meals at Mabuhay Lounge.
11. La Marea Pastry Shop - if you are fond of sweets, I suggest you try the warm brownie cup and sylvannas of this pastry shop. We bought our dessert at Ayala Center Cebu near the Food Court.

I haven't tried the other restaurants that are on my list so I still have reason to go back to Cebu but feel free to share your suggestions for a food trip in Cebu.
Oh my gush! Karamihan letchon! Putok batok letchon.. Hahaha! But seriously, cebu offers a very tasty letchon. I will take note of the restaurants in your list. Thanks for sharing!😊
ReplyDeleteHehehe! Putok batok ba? I love Cebu's Lechon kasi, minsanan lang makatikim. :)
DeleteOh dear, now I am craving for Cebu Lechon! I'm not a fan of the original lechon, but if it's Cebu lechon, I love it! I've tried CnT and it's very good. Have heard about Rico's but have not tried it yet. Now I want to book a trip to Cebu! Haha!
ReplyDeleteCebu's lechon is the best because you can eat it without sauce. :)
DeleteWow. Thank you for this list. I haven't been to CEbu, but I really love to go there one time. This list will be helpful. =) I especially would like to try that Lechon Cebu. =)
ReplyDeleteWelcome. You will enjoy your food trip in Cebu because the price is very reasonable compared to restaurants here in NCR.
DeleteLechon Cebu ftw!!! I miss Cebu and the endless foodtrips.
ReplyDeleteCebu is a foodie haven. So many good restaurants to choose from.
ReplyDeleteLa Marea! I had good memories of their brownie a la mode. Soooo good! I haven't tried Rico's lechon although I know that there's one just outside the airport. Zubuchon is okay. But I still dream of the lechon that we ate in Dalaguete several years back.
ReplyDeleteThanks for mentioning Dalaguete, I will take note of this. If ever we will revisit Cebu, I would like to visit Osmeña Peak and taste that lechon. :)
DeleteBeen to Cebu a number of times in the past but haven't tried some of those you mentioned. I hope to remember these restos when we go back. So tempting to eat a lot of lechon when in Cebu! hahaha
ReplyDeleteYes, so tempting. lol
DeleteOh wow, this post made me hungry... Thanks for sharing! It's been a while since we've been to Cebu. Might plan to go there next time :)
ReplyDeleteWe've only been to Cebu once, so we're not really knowledgeable about the exciting dining places there. Thanks for your list. This will help us make the most of our Cebu trip next time.
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like Cebu lechon! My father's from Cebu; one of our favourite food-trip places is Larsian lol!
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to eat at Larsian during our second visit kaso umulan so tinamad na kami.
DeleteThis list just made me crave for lechon at 1 in the morning! Cebu's Lechon is hands down the best one I've had.
ReplyDeleteCnt and Golden Cowrie are my favorites sa Cebu! You should also try Larsian na ihaw place super sarap and mura there!
ReplyDeleteMas mura kaya compared sa The Original AA BBQ?
DeleteWe always buy lechon from CnT. The husband frequents cebu for his business trips. I will suggest these to him so that he can have more options when eating there. :)
ReplyDeleteZubuchon!! I am now craving for lechon. When I think of going to cebu, lechon always comes to mind. Hihi
ReplyDeleteTrue, that is why Cebu is often called as Lechon Capital of the World.
DeleteLooking for La Marea, i didn't know meron pala sa Ayala. My personal favorite is casa verde in Cebu
ReplyDeleteOk yung ribs ng Casa Verde noh?
DeleteYour post made me miss Cebu. I love that place. Everything seems cheap, everyone's friendly and it feels like I can hold time much longer if I'm there. One time, I was actually considering getting a job in Cebu just so I can have its perks (such as what you featured in your post) everyday!
ReplyDeleteTrue, it is cheaper compared here in NCR. :)
DeleteWhen we were in Cebu, the only place we've tried is Zubuchon. Thanks for sharing a list, we'll try the other ones next time.
