Kapurpurawan Rock Formation

I had second thought in including Kapurpurawan Rock Formation in our itinerary because I know that we have to walk around 500 meters just to reach the place. I have no problem in walking or trekking but we have kids in tow so I wasn’t sure if they will enjoy this place but since we are going to skip Kaibigan Falls, I included this in my itinerary.

 I have no regrets because this rock formation is really amazing. I’m not good at adjectives so all I can say is WOW and I’m glad that I’ve been here though seeing it up close is not easy.
From the parking lot, you have to go down the stairs and walk on a rough and rocky road. I brought an umbrella but I wasn’t able to use it because the wind was just too strong.

I was so happy that my husband joined our trip because if not, I don’t know if I will be able to reach the rock formation because look at my son, he doesn’t want to walk. =)


Kapurpurawan Rock Formation is really amazing and if we’re not in a hurry, we could stay longer here.

    super ganda dito... this place was also featured in TV patrol last weekend...sayang di kayo nakapagpasa ng entry... pwedeng ibalik si Wow Philippines! super Wow talaga.

    Wow! Ang ganda! ^___^ I think going there is worth the walking and trekking. Thanks for featuring this. It actually makes me more inspired to go to Ilocos Norte. Never been there before so I had fun reading all your posts. Picture perfect ang view, parang nasa postcard. :D Will definitely refer to your posts if ever matuloy sa plans namin. :)

    ang ganda! hindi ba sya dinedevelop as a tourist attraction? mukhang walang strusture kasi na iba e. but the rck really looks amazing!

    It's true that you have to walk 300-500 meters away from the main road....but it's worth it. been there last year and Kapurpurawan is one of my fave stop in Ilocos. here: http://www.blacksheepslair.com/2012/02/kapurpurawan-limestone-formation.html

    That is absolutely a beautiful place! Who would have thought that that is a Pinas spot? Grabe, undiscovered ata ito. This spot deserves a feature sa Philipoine Tourism Industry. Truly worth recommending! Thanks for sharing!

    Lumakas loob ko to visit this when we go back to Ilocos Norte on Thursday. Kasama ko rin kasi bulilit ko at puwede kong ipabitbit kay hubby. :) Thanks for your informative travel blog, michi! :)
