After watching “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2” I saw this stall “Miguelitos Fried Ice Cream” where my hubby and son stayed while waiting for me because I went straight to the restroom (pee break). Out of curiosity, I bought one cup for P25, a choice of one flavor, syrup, and candy toppings. I chose vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and chocolate sprinkle.
The ice cream is not literally fried in oil, it is a combination of powdered mixture and water blended in a small blender. The staff will pour the mixture into their cold pan, let it freeze, and scrape it off. I like the presentation of this ice cream but the taste is just ok for us, good thing that it is only P25.

I really need to try those fried ice cream stalls one of these days. I've been seeing it a lot when we go to the mall but I've never really ordered one for myself yet. :) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI first saw fried ice cream in Baguio (of all places) during the late 1990s. Didn't enjoy it much. Hopefully the Miguelito's brand tastes much better. =)
